Solution I:

You are requested to delete all the data files that are stored in the Entitlement Client Folder. You need to delete the WSActivity.xml file. Stop all the QuickBooks POS applications that are running on your system.

Case I: End all the QuickBooks POS Process & its services
  • Open Task manager and open the Process tab.

  • Browse for all the processes with .exe file extension.

  • Close your Task manager.

  • Now, from the Start menu, open Run Command window.

  • In the search field in the Run command Window, type services.msc.

  • From the Services, search for QBPOS Database Manager vXX.

  • End the services now and close the services window.

Case II: Delete the Required Files:
  • Open the hidden Microsoft Windows folders

  • Windows 10

  • Windows 8 and 8.1

  • Vista and Windows 7

  • Windows XP

  • Open the following data path for the respective Microsoft Windows Operating System:

  • Windows 10: C:\ Program Data\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8.0

  • Windows 8.1 and 8: C:\ Program Data\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8.0

  • Vista and Windows 7: C:\Program Data\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8.0

  • Windows XP: C:\DocumentsandSettings\AllUsers\ApplicationData\Intuit\EntitlementClient\v8.0

  • Now, move the location based on your Microsoft Operating System:

  • Windows 10: C:\ Program Data\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8.0

  • Windows 8.1 and 8: C:\ Program Data\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8.0

  • Vista and Windows 7 : C:\Program Data\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8.0

  • Windows XPC:\DocumentsandSettings\AllUsers\ApplicationData\Intuit\EntitlementClient\v8.0

  • All the files are to be selected and press Delete from the keyboard.

  • Go back to the previous location, i.e. C:\ Program Data\Intuit\QuickBooks Point of Sale XX.0.

  • Browse for the INI folder and locate the WSAcitivity file. Delete this file.

  • Re-open the QuickBooks POS and look for any updates.

  • If any, then download and install it on your system/

  • Finally, complete the registration procedure and reboot your computer system.

Solution II:

  • Go to the Banking option in the menu bar.

  • Click on the Write Checks option.

  • Click on the Pay to the Order of field.

  • Press Ctrl along with L from your keyboard to open Master Name list.

  • Click on the Include Inactive option that is available at the bottom of the list.

  • Select the Name option.

  • Click on the Re-sort List.

  • A dialog box will be opened on your screen with the message, “Are you sure you want to return this list to its original order?”

  • Press OK.
