Press Start and select Control Panel.
Select Programs and Features and Uninstall the software
Find out the Quickbooks Update Agent from installed programs list
Press Uninstall button.
For Windows XP
Press Start > Select Control Panel > Select Add/ Remove Programs
Find out Quickbooks Update Agent from the entries.
Press Remove button.
